TLDR Ayurvedic treatment improved hair condition and density safely in a woman with hair loss.
The study explores the Ayurvedic management of Female Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA) through a case involving a 32-year-old female with a SALT score of 28%. Over one month, she underwent Jalaukavacharana (leech therapy), Shirolepa (herbal paste), and Rasayana (rejuvenative) medications. The treatment resulted in visible improvement in scalp condition and hair density, reducing the SALT score to 12%. The Ayurvedic approach, focusing on enhancing blood circulation and follicular nourishment, provided a safe and holistic alternative to conventional treatments, which often have adverse effects and symptom recurrence.
