TLDR Using a person's own fat cells can help regrow hair after injury.
The case report discussed the use of autologous adipose transplantation as a treatment for alopecia following trauma. The study highlighted that adipose tissue, which is biologically active, could positively influence the hair growth cycle. The procedure involved lipoaspiration of adipose tissue followed by scalp injection. The authors observed positive effects on hair growth in a patient with post-traumatic alopecia, suggesting that adipose tissue transplantation could be a promising alternative treatment for both male and female alopecia.
