TLDR Using a person's own fat cells can help regrow hair after injury.
This case report detailed the use of autologous adipose transplantation as a treatment for alopecia following trauma. The study involved a single patient and demonstrated that scalp injections of adipose tissue had a positive effect on hair growth. The findings suggested that adipose tissue could be a promising alternative method for treating alopecia in both men and women, highlighting its potential benefits beyond reconstructive volume and aesthetics, including positive skin and hair changes post-transplantation.
