The study investigated the relationship between hirsutism, anthropometric profiles, sexual dysfunction, and anxiety levels in 71 infertile Indonesian women with PCOS. It found no significant correlation between hirsutism, anthropometric profiles, and sexual dysfunction. However, 53.3% of participants experienced sexual dysfunction, and those with sexual dysfunction had higher anxiety scores. Additionally, hirsutism, measured by Ferriman-Gallwey scores, showed a significant positive correlation with anxiety. The study suggests that while hirsutism does not directly affect sexual dysfunction, it may contribute to anxiety, highlighting the need for further research on female sexual function in this population.
