TLDR Androgen-driven traits don't predict prostate cancer recurrence.
This study investigated whether self-reported androgen-driven phenotypical features, such as male pattern baldness, acne, and digit length, were associated with the aggressiveness and biochemical recurrence of prostate cancer in a cohort of 628 men who underwent radical prostatectomy. The results indicated that androgenic alopecia, low 2D:4D digit ratio, and acne did not significantly affect the occurrence of biochemical recurrence. Consequently, the study concluded that these phenotypical features were not associated with cancer aggressiveness or recurrence, suggesting that further prospective trials on these features may not be necessary.
