TLDR An educational package was created to teach people about lesser-known herbal medicines in India.
The study highlighted a growing interest in traditional herbal medicines in India due to the side effects and costs associated with allopathic medicines. In Ghaziabad, 44.48% of the population was aware of common herbal medicines, while only 20.58% knew about lesser-known ones. Over 90% were unaware of the medicinal uses of these lesser-known herbs. Despite this, 34% of people used herbal and ayurvedic medicines, while 36.84% did not use them due to a lack of knowledge about their medicinal properties. To address this, an educational package was developed to inform people about lesser-known herbal medicines.
