TLDR Botulinum toxin injections improved hair thinning in a woman with hair loss.
A 29-year-old woman with Female Pattern Hair Loss (FPHL) showed improvement in hair thinning after receiving 100-unit botulinum toxin injections in the affected area every 3 months. The treatment reduced hair thinning within 1 month. The study suggests that treatments tailored to the disease's pathophysiology and the patient's genetics can yield positive therapeutic outcomes for Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA).
