TLDR Adiantum capillus-veneris may help with respiratory issues, but more research is needed.
Adiantum capillus-veneris L. (Pare-siavashan) is a plant with a wide range of traditional medicinal uses, including treatment for respiratory issues like dyspnea, as well as digestive, urogenital, and integumentary system ailments. It is also used for menstrual disorders, colds, coughs, abdominal pain, fever, headache, bronchitis, hair loss, and diabetes. Modern research supports its antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties. However, clinical studies on its effects on respiratory diseases are limited, indicating a need for further research to explore its potential in treating asthma and respiratory tract inflammations.
