Abdominal Pain in a Young Woman With Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

A 17-year-old female was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) after presenting with arthralgia, hair loss, Raynaud's phenomenon, malar rash, oral ulcers, and palmar erythema. Laboratory tests showed leukopenia, elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate (90 mm/h), and positive anti-nuclear antibodies (ANA) among other specific antibodies. She was treated with hydroxychloroquine 200 mg twice a week and prednisone 15 mg/day.
