    The banana plant (Musa sapientum, Musa paradisiaca) was noted for its significant pharmacological activities, including antiulcerogenic, antilithiatic, antimicrobial, analgesic, antihypertensive, antidiarrhoeal, antiallergic, antioxidant, diuretic, hypolipidemic, hypoglycaemic, hair growth promoting, haemostatic, muscle relaxant, mutagenic, wound healing, and vasodilatory effects.
