    The study on the connective tissue fibers in the neck skin of goats revealed that the dermis consisted of a network of collagen, elastic, and reticular fibers, along with sweat glands, sebaceous glands, hair follicles, and arrector pili muscles. Collagen fibers were fine, loosely arranged, and irregularly distributed in the papillary layer, while they were thick and densely arranged in the reticular layer. Elastic fibers were rare, finely branched in the papillary layer, and arranged perpendicular to the skin surface. Reticular fibers were abundant at the dermo-epidermal junction, around sweat glands, sebaceous glands, blood vessel walls, and in the capsule of hair follicles.
