    The study investigated the role of 3-Beta Hydroxysteroid Dehydrogenase (3βHSD2) in serum testosterone levels among 90 women aged 18 to 40, divided into three groups: 30 obese women with PCOS, 30 non-obese women with PCOS, and 30 healthy controls. Results showed increased serum levels of testosterone, LH, LH:FSH, and prolactin, with decreased levels of 3βHSD2 and FSH in women with PCOS compared to controls. The study concluded that 3βHSD2 has poor diagnostic value for PCOS, despite its involvement in the condition's pathogenesis.
