monoclonal antibody targeting CD20 protein on B-cells

Rituximab, also known as Rituxan, is a monoclonal antibody used to treat certain autoimmune diseases and types of cancer, such as non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. It works by targeting and binding to the CD20 protein found on the surface of B-cells, leading to their destruction, which helps in reducing the abnormal immune response or cancerous growth.
