April 2021 in “Cermin Dunia Kedokteran” This study reports improvement in tinea capitis symptoms in two siblings after two months of treatment with ketoconazole lotion and shampoo, following initial findings of M. canis and Rhodotorulla infections.
December 2014 in “Berkala Ilmu Kesehatan Kulit dan Kelamin” This case report describes successful treatment of a four-year-old boy with kerion-type tinea capitis caused by T. mentagrophytes using griseofulvin, erythromycin, wet dressing, and ketokonazole shampoo, with improvement after 8 weeks.
December 2016 in “Indonesian Journal of Tropical and Infectious Disease/Indonesian Journal of Tropical an Infectious Disease” In this case report, a two-year-old girl with kerion type of tinea capitis successfully achieved clinical and mycologic cure with double pulse dose terbinafine and 2% ketoconazole shampoo over two months, with excellent tolerability and no side effects.
