Glabrous skin refers to areas of the body that are naturally hairless and smooth, such as the palms of the hands, soles of the feet, and certain parts of the genitalia. This type of skin lacks hair follicles and is typically thicker and more sensitive to touch due to a higher density of nerve endings.
