research Dracorhodin Perchlorate Regulates the Expression of Inflammatory Cytokines Through the TLR4 Pathway and Improves Skin Wound Healing in Diabetic Rats
The study investigated the effects of dracorhodin perchlorate (DP) on wound healing in diabetic rats. DP, derived from dragon's blood, was applied as an ointment to both diabetic and nondiabetic rats. The results showed that DP improved wound healing by reducing prolonged inflammatory cell infiltration and modulating the TLR4 pathway and inflammatory factors associated with diabetes. Additionally, DP increased eNOS protein expression and nitric oxide content, which are crucial for wound healing. The findings suggested that DP could be developed as an adjuvant treatment for enhancing wound healing in diabetic patients.
