    Tape stripping, also known as the tape-strip method or stratum corneum tape stripping, is a technique used to study the outermost layer of the skin, the stratum corneum. It involves applying and then removing adhesive tape to the skin to sequentially remove layers of corneocytes. This method is commonly used in dermatological research to assess skin barrier function, measure the penetration of topical treatments, and study skin diseases like psoriasis and eczema.
