It is a colorless, volatile liquid commonly used as an industrial solvent, antifreeze, and fuel. Methanol is highly toxic to humans if ingested, inhaled, or absorbed through the skin, leading to symptoms such as headache, dizziness, nausea, and in severe cases, blindness or death.
