    Fibrosis is the formation of excess fibrous connective tissue in an organ or tissue as a reparative or reactive process. It often occurs as a result of chronic inflammation or injury, leading to scarring and potentially impairing the normal function of the affected area. For example, in the context of hair loss, fibrosis around hair follicles can prevent hair regrowth by disrupting the normal hair cycle.
