This review reported that the dwarf palm (Chamaerops humilis) is traditionally used in North Africa for treating diabetes and gastrointestinal diseases, and identified a need for more research on its pharmacological and ethnobotanical properties, particularly in relation to its potential cancer-fighting uses.
