research Sustainable and Green Zinc Oxide Nanoparticle Synthesis from Ginger as a Wound Healing Accelerator
The study investigated the green synthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles from ginger and their effect on wound healing in 12 Balb/c mice. The mice were divided into four groups, including two control groups and two treatment groups, one receiving Mebo ointment and the other a hybrid antagonist (ZnO+Carbomer940). Results indicated that the hybrid antagonist significantly increased wound closure and healing rate by 56.9% and enhanced histological parameters such as re-epithelialization, accelerated hair follicle growth, and collagen regeneration. The ZnO nanoparticles with Carbomer940 hydrogel demonstrated superior wound repair and hair growth acceleration within six days compared to MEBO ointment and control groups, with no observed damage or infection.
