TLDR Zinc is important for growth and health in animals, plants, and humans, and not having enough can cause various problems.
Zinc is an essential micronutrient that is vital for the growth and development of animals, plants, and humans. It plays a significant role in gene expression and numerous physiological processes. Deficiency in zinc can lead to diseases, reduced crop yields, hindered plant growth, and lower quality of agricultural products. Zinc is also utilized in fertilizers and metal treatments to prevent oxidation. In humans, zinc is crucial for immune system function, and its deficiency can cause hair loss, memory loss, skin disorders, and muscle weakness.
