TLDR CF patients with growth issues have more zinc in their hair than those with normal growth.
The study measured zinc levels in the serum and hair of normal children and those with cystic fibrosis (CF). It found that CF patients with growth retardation had higher mean zinc levels in their hair compared to CF patients with normal growth.
