TLDR Watercress oil helps heal skin burns in rabbits.
This study investigated the effects of watercress oil on skin burns in 24 male rabbits, divided into groups with burns induced by hydrochloric acid or a hot glass rod. Treatments included Baneocin, watercress oil, and a combination of watercress and Nigella sativa oils. Watercress oil demonstrated antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, promoting epithelialization and improving wound contraction and closure time compared to controls. However, the combination of watercress and Nigella sativa oils did not enhance healing. The study concluded that watercress oil could effectively aid in healing skin burns in rabbits.
