TLDR Vorasidenib can cause unusual hair growth.
A 44-year-old male with diffuse astrocytoma experienced trichomegaly and hypertrichosis, including scalp hair regrowth in areas of severe androgenetic alopecia, after one month of vorasidenib treatment. This case highlights a previously unreported side effect of vorasidenib, an IDH1/2 inhibitor, which may be linked to elevated α-KG levels promoting hair follicle regeneration. The findings underscore the need for careful monitoring of novel therapies for brain tumors to optimize treatment strategies and improve patient care.
