TLDR The Chi-PCOSQ is effective for assessing health-related quality of life in Chinese women with PCOS.
The study evaluated the Chinese version of the Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Health-related Quality of Life Questionnaire (Chi-PCOSQ) for its effectiveness in measuring health-related quality of life changes in 102 women with PCOS in Taiwan. The Chi-PCOSQ showed significant responsiveness to clinical changes, particularly improvements in 2-hour glucose and insulin levels, with increased total and domain scores, except for hair growth. It demonstrated medium responsiveness in half of its domains and was more sensitive than the WHOQOL-BREF. The Chi-PCOSQ's measurement structure was validated for Chinese women with PCOS, making it a promising tool for assessing their health-related quality of life.
