TLDR The Turkish version of the MAIA-2 Scale is valid and reliable for patients at a dermatology clinic.
The study evaluated the Turkish version of the Multidimensional Assessment of Interoceptive Awareness-2 (MAIA-2) Scale for its validity and reliability in dermatology patients. The scale was administered to 390 patients (244 females and 146 males) with various dermatological diseases. The internal consistency of the scale was high (Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.944), and the test-retest reliability showed good stability over time (correlation coefficient of r=0.884). The mean total MAIA-2 score was 105.34±30.05. The study concluded that the Turkish version of the MAIA-2 Scale is valid and reliable for Turkish dermatology patients.
