TLDR Malvi cattle hair varies in color and pattern across different body regions.
The study conducted a trichological analysis on the hair of Malvi cattle, examining samples from the back, neck, umbilical, and tail regions. The research focused on the color, shape, and band pattern of the hair, revealing significant variation within the same individual across different regions. The hair was consistently cylindrical and composed of cuticle, cortex, and medulla. The cuticular scales appeared as regular waves with crenate margins, while the medulla was continuous with some fragmentation towards the tip, displaying a unicellular cloisonne pattern. The medullary index ranged from 0.50 to 0.60, with scalloped medulla margins and occasional fringes in the back region.
