TLDR Cimetidine did not reduce hair growth in women with hirsutism.
In a study conducted 35 years ago, 12 women with moderate to severe hirsutism were treated with 1.5 grams of cimetidine daily for 3 months, while 8 women served as a control group. The results showed no significant change in hair growth rate in either the treated or control groups, indicating that cimetidine at the given dose and duration was not effective in treating hirsutism.
