Therapeutic Management of Feline Otoacariasis in Persian Cats

The study focused on the therapeutic management of feline otoacariasis in Persian cats, involving 7 cats that exhibited symptoms such as ear scratching, hair loss, and excessive waxy exudate. Microscopic examination of ear swabs confirmed the presence of ear mites and their eggs. The treatment involved the application of Fipronil spray in the ear canal once a week for 4 weeks. By the end of the treatment period, no mites were detected, indicating the efficacy of Fipronil spray against ear mites in Persian cats.
