TLDR Combining NdYag laser with pulsed light effectively treats rosacea with manageable side effects.
The study investigated the use of NdYag laser combined with pulsed light for treating rosacea in 68 patients aged 34-63 with subtypes 1 and 2. The Cutera Xeo laser was used with NdYag 1064nm for telangiectasias and LimeLight 520-1100nm for diffuse facial erythema, papules, and pustules. Patients with diffuse facial erythema required 3-6 sessions, while those with telangiectasia needed 2 sessions, typically spaced a month apart. Recovery averaged 5 days, with side effects including bruises, pustules, burning sensations, transient stinging, and hypopigmentation.
