TLDR Future skincare will use advanced science for personalized anti-aging treatments.
The future of cosmeceuticals involves advancements in skincare that target the root causes of aging at the genetic and epigenetic levels, potentially decoupling biological and chronological age. Current treatments focus on rejuvenation through biological pathways and suppression of damage, with innovations like stem cell differentiation and macrophage activation enhancing skin revitalization. However, challenges such as complex regimens, high costs, and limited accessibility hinder widespread adoption. The integration of artificial intelligence, biomarker identification, and genetic testing is expected to enable more personalized skincare solutions.
