TLDR Thallium poisoning is dangerous but treatable with specific medical interventions.
Thallium poisoning, though rare, remains a concern due to its illegal use despite being banned for its homicidal potential and environmental threat. This report discusses two cases of thallium poisoning, both presenting with gastrointestinal symptoms, peripheral neuropathy, and alopecia, which are indicative of thallium toxicity. Diagnosis was confirmed through blood and urine tests. Both patients were successfully treated with activated charcoal, potassium chloride, and hemodialysis.
