TLDR Thalidomide with CHOP is more effective for peripheral T-cell lymphoma than CHOP alone.
The study investigated the clinical effects of combining thalidomide with the CHOP regimen (cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone) in treating peripheral T-cell lymphoma. Conducted at Liaocheng People's Hospital, the study involved 72 patients divided into two groups: one receiving only CHOP and the other receiving CHOP plus thalidomide. After 8 treatment cycles, the group receiving thalidomide showed a higher overall effectiveness rate (86.11%) compared to the CHOP-only group (63.89%), with significant reductions in levels of arginase-1, VEGF, and iNOS. Importantly, the addition of thalidomide did not increase the incidence of adverse reactions, suggesting that thalidomide combined with CHOP was a more effective treatment option without additional side effects.
