A Supplementary Report on the Toxic Manifestations of CHOP Regimen in Subjects with Intermediate Grade Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma

    Ambili Remesh
TLDR CHOP chemotherapy causes many side effects but is generally well tolerated.
This study aimed to report the adverse effects of the CHOP chemotherapy regimen in patients with intermediate grade Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (NHL). Conducted on 30 patients aged 20-60, only 25 completed 6 cycles of chemotherapy and were evaluated for toxicities. The results showed that most patients experienced toxic damages, including hepatopancreatic, dermatological, vascular, and nephrological issues, leading to weight loss, hepatomegaly, alopecia, hypotension, and abnormal serum liver markers, serum creatinine, and blood glucose levels. Despite these toxicities, none of the patients required an interruption in their CHOP treatment, indicating that the regimen was generally well tolerated.
