Combination of Systemic and Topical Treatment for Feline Dermatophytosis: A Case Report

    TLDR The cat with ringworm got better after being treated with oral and topical medications for 35 days.
    A 2-year-old male Persian cat with multi-focal circular non-pruritic skin lesions and hair loss on the head and ears was diagnosed with dermatophytosis at the Veterinary Clinic Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universitas Gadjah Mada. The diagnosis was confirmed through Wood’s light examination, direct microscopic examination, and fungal culture. The cat was treated with oral itraconazole for 20 days and topical ketoconazole for 35 days. After 35 days of treatment, the cat showed a reduction in lesions.
