The study investigated the symptom experience of 354 lung cancer patients undergoing treatment with immune checkpoint inhibitors combined with chemotherapy. It found that symptoms such as fatigue, drowsiness, loss of appetite, altered taste, and nausea were common, with fatigue being the most prominent from T1 to T4 and T6. Drowsiness and loss of appetite were consistently severe, while hair loss and pain were notably distressing during T5. The research highlights the need for healthcare providers to address these frequent, severe, and distressing symptoms to improve patient care during treatment.
