    The study compared the efficacy and safety of a cream containing xyloglucan, pea protein, and Opuntia ficus-indica extract (XPO) to calcipotriol/betamethasone (CB) in adult patients with mild-to-moderate psoriasis. XPO demonstrated similar efficacy to CB in significantly reducing disease severity, erythema, itching, induration, and scaling. Additionally, XPO exhibited an excellent tolerability profile, suggesting it is a viable alternative treatment option for psoriasis.
