TLDR Dravanti beeja lepa is safe and effective for regrowing hair in Alopecia Areata.
The study assessed the safety and efficacy of Dravanti beeja lepa, a topical application derived from Croton tiglium, for treating Indralupta (Alopecia Areata). Conducted as a prospective open randomized single-arm clinical trial, it involved 30 patients exhibiting classical symptoms of Indralupta. The treatment was applied twice daily for 28 days, with a skin patch test conducted beforehand for safety. The study found that Indralupta was more prevalent in males and identified factors such as diet, stress, and cosmetic use as potential causes. The results indicated significant hair regeneration with the regular use of Dravanti beeja lepa, demonstrating its safety and efficacy for treating Alopecia Areata.
