Павел Ильич Диденко, Irina L. Aristova
TLDR Improving stress resistance can boost the well-being of counseling psychologists.
This study examined the relationship between stress resistance and psychological well-being among 45 counseling psychologists, aged 23 to 62. The findings revealed significant positive correlations between stress resistance and life satisfaction, positive emotions, and psychological well-being, including dimensions such as autonomy, environmental management, life goals, and self-acceptance. Additionally, stress resistance was negatively correlated with negative emotions. These results suggest that enhancing stress resistance could improve the psychological well-being of counseling psychologists, and they can inform the development of targeted psychological programs.
