TLDR Higher stress levels are linked to more skin problems, especially in young women.
This cross-sectional study of 541 participants in Saudi Arabia found a significant association between psychological stress (PS) and increased skin symptoms, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rash, and baldness. Higher stress levels correlated with higher skin symptom scores, particularly among females aged 18-29. The study highlights the importance of considering PS in dermatological assessments and treatments, despite limitations like the inability to establish causality and reliance on self-reported data.
