TLDR Stereotypes about Russia and the USA influence Russian youth's attitudes towards moving abroad.
The study investigates how stereotypes about Russia and the USA influence the attitudes of Russian youth aged 18 to 35 towards relocation. It hypothesizes that young people's views on relocation are shaped by the stereotypical images of their own and foreign countries. An associative experiment was conducted to explore these stereotypes, using a psychosemantic approach to analyze the data. The findings reveal patterns in how the quality of associations with Russia and the USA correlates with the respondents' attitudes towards relocation, highlighting the role of social, cultural, and psychological factors in the formation of ethnostereotypes among Russian youth.
