This case report describes two female patients with chronic granulomatous disease (CGD) who developed systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), highlighting a rare association between these conditions. The first patient, a 38-year-old, experienced recurrent infections and was diagnosed with CGD, later developing SLE with symptoms like Sweet syndrome and polyarthritis. She was treated with corticosteroids. The second patient, a 23-year-old, had a history of infections and was diagnosed with SLE after presenting with visual issues and skin symptoms, receiving hydroxychloroquine treatment. The report suggests that chronic antigenic stimulation and T cell dysregulation may link CGD to autoimmune diseases like SLE, emphasizing the need for careful evaluation and management of such patients.
