TLDR Combining microfocused ultrasound with PRP-therapy improves skin quality and patient satisfaction more than ultrasound alone.
The study involving 35 patients aged 40 to 50 compared microfocused ultrasound monotherapy with its combination with PRP-therapy for skin rejuvenation. The combined treatment significantly improved skin quality, with a 57.1% improvement in the Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) versus 23.8% in the monotherapy group, and a 19.03% increase in dermal thickness, indicating enhanced fibroblast activity and regenerative potential. The combination therapy showed better clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction, suggesting it as a more effective approach for aesthetic treatments. It was advised to avoid other aggressive skin procedures for 6 months post-treatment to optimize results.
