Signaling Pathways in the Mechanisms of Drug Action

Signaling pathways are crucial in understanding the mechanisms of drug action, as they process and transmit signals that regulate cellular functions and influence cell growth. This study analyzed literature data to explore the role of these pathways in modeling pathological conditions and drug mechanisms, focusing on neurological, cardiovascular, and oncological drugs. The research highlighted the importance of signaling pathways in explaining biochemical and pathophysiological disturbances and identified drugs that can correct signal transmission disruptions. The study concludes that signaling pathways are vital pharmacological targets for developing effective treatments.
