TLDR Mintop shampoo improved hair smoothness, shine, and strength after ten washes.
The in vitro study using six natural black hair tresses demonstrated that Mintop shampoo significantly improved sensory parameters such as detangling, combability, static reduction, shine, softness, smoothness, and bounce after ten wash cycles. The mean scores for these parameters ranged from 3.00 to 4.00 on a scale where higher scores indicate better performance. Additionally, the tensile strength of the hair increased to a mean score of 99.17, and the percentage elongation improved to a mean score of 44.24, indicating enhanced hair strength and elasticity. The shampoo's beneficial effects are attributed to ingredients like Procapil and Redensyl, and its sulfate and paraben-free formula is also highlighted as suitable for sensitive scalps. The study was ethically approved and reported no conflicts of interest or funding sources.
