Semen Cryopreservation in Testicular Cancer: Before or After Orchidectomy?

The study highlights the importance of conducting a comprehensive andrological assessment, including semen analysis, hormonal evaluation, and ultrasound of the contralateral testis, at the time of testicular cancer diagnosis to guide personalized fertility preservation strategies. Although conventional semen parameters deteriorate, post-orchidectomy samples show better DNA integrity, making them potentially more suitable for assisted reproductive technologies.
