TLDR Almond oil works well as a biodegradable lubricant and has health benefits.
The study investigates the rheological properties of almond (Prunus amygdalus) oil as a biodegradable lubricant using a Brookfield RVDV III Ultra Rheometer. The oil exhibits non-Newtonian behavior at shear rates and temperatures between 40-100°C, with dynamic viscosity decreasing exponentially with increasing shear rate and shear stress. The study provides equations to describe these behaviors, with high correlation coefficients close to 1, indicating accurate modeling. Almond oil is also noted for its benefits in hair growth, skin care, and overall health due to its high vitamin E content.
