TLDR Taking alfuzosin and finasteride together caused temporary vision loss in a glaucoma patient, but switching to tamsulosin helped.
A 60-year-old man with uveitic glaucoma experienced reversible visual loss after taking a combination regimen of alfuzosin and finasteride for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The patient's symptoms improved after the medication was changed to tamsulosin monotherapy. The authors suggest that drugs that can cause systemic hypotension should be prescribed with caution to glaucoma patients.
