The Journal of Endourology retracted the article titled "Transurethral Resection of Prostate and Bleeding: A Prospective, Randomized, Double-Blind Placebo-Controlled Trial to See the Efficacy of Short-Term Use of Finasteride and Dutasteride on Operative Blood Loss and Prostatic Microvessel Density" by Ankur Bansal and Aditi Arora due to concerns about inaccurate statistics reported in the study. The first author notified the editors about the potential issues, prompting a statistical review which concluded that the manuscript required revision. Consequently, the original decision to publish the paper was reversed, and the authors were instructed to revise and resubmit the paper for peer review, with no guarantee of acceptance for future publication.
