Restoring Dry, Damaged Hair with a Novel Natural Wheat Protein and Wheat Germ Oil-Containing Shampoo and Conditioner Line

TLDR The shampoo and conditioner improved dry, damaged hair significantly after three uses.
The study evaluated the efficacy and tolerance of a novel shampoo and conditioner line containing whole native wheat proteins and wheat germ oil on 74 female subjects aged 18-50 with dry, damaged hair. Subjects were divided into three groups based on hair type (thin, normal, thick) and used the products daily for one week. Clinical assessments, self-assessments, and instrumental testing showed significant improvements (P < .05) in hair breakage, softness, shine, strength against breakage, and smoothness after just three uses. The regimen was well tolerated with no significant increases in scalp itching, dryness, or tightness.
